The Private Pilots License PPL is for most of us our first step into the world of Aviation. Actually the name of the license is misleading in many ways as it leaves people thinking that there are superior skills or knowledge that a Commercial or Airline Pilot has as compared to the Private Pilot. This is simply not true! The only difference between a Private Pilot and a Commercial Pilot is that the Private pilot is not allowed to accept payment for their flying. Really, that’s all there is. Whether you are flying a small Cessna 172 like we use in training at our school, or you are flying a brand new A380, we all share the same sky, the same airports, we all fly using the same rules and regulations and are required to have the same basic knowledge and skills to safely enjoy our passion for flight.
